The awards are:
EdNET Impact Award: for positive impact on education
The EdNET Impact award will be given to the organization having made the most significant positive impact on education through quality educational support and instructional resources. The recipient of this award has:

  • provided a benefit to education for a significant period of time, showing staying power.
  • effectively advocated and/or implemented quality educational practices that have resulted in improved student learning.
  • applied educational research and/or technology to generate pedagogical change in support of improved student learning or administrator/educator practice.
  • made a deep impact nationally or internationally exhibiting benefits to a diverse array of students.
  • moved beyond the conceptual stage and is systemically implemented with learners and/or educators in multiple sites.
  • demonstrated a positive impact on education.

EdNET Pioneer Award: for contributing to growth of a portion of the education market
The EdNET Pioneer Award recognizes organizations for their contribution to the growth of the education market. The recipient of this award has:

  • significantly contributed to innovative product and/or program design and implementation for the education market.
  • created a new niche, offering, or category within the industry by developing a new product or service, and is attracting buyers/adopters in a way that represents a new opportunity for others in the industry.
  • changed the market size of a segment of the educational technology industry. (Measured by annual sales volume, number of installations, assistance in creating legislation affecting educational resource adoption, curriculum implementation, professional development, etc.)
  • funded projects or initiatives that have increased the activity or attention to the educational enterprise as being, in part, a philanthropic endeavor.

EdNET Rookie of the Year Award: for the most promising start-up venture
The EdNET 'Rookie Award' is restricted to small or start-up ventures, existing freestanding organizations, or "skunk works" business development groups within larger organizations. The nominated organization should be less than two years old.

The recipient of this awards has:

  • the promise to be seen in five to ten years, as a significant player in the education industry by providing - the foundation for a continuing and successful enterprise. 
  • developed a significantly new product, service or business strategy, within the education industry, which is deemed to have exemplary potential to grow the nominated business or nonprofit to substantially greater revenues and/or impact on education.
