The EdNET Forsight program was conceived in the context of EdNET's 20th Anniversary. Its goal is to enrich the dialog at EdNET by providing, in addition to regular programming, five brief, insightful perspectives, by attendees, on where K-12 schools and the marketplace should or could be five years hence and how we can get there. EdNET Foresight aims to tap the wisdom of the EdNET community in yet another way by highlighting expert visions of critical trends, innovations, market drivers, tactics and strategies that can significantly advance student achievement, teaching and school administration, and that enrich K-12 industry viability. Speakers for each EdNET Foresight Spotlight on the program will make a 5-minute presentation sharing their vision of the opportunities and critical hurdles to moving education and the K-12 market radically forward.

More than 40 program entries were received, each offering unique and valuable insights. The submissions were reviewed by an independent panel of six industry and education experts, including:

  • Ellen Bialo, President, Interactive Education Systems Design
  • Richard "Dick" Casabonne, pres., Casabonne & Associates
  • Kevin Custer, Founding Partner, Arc Capital Development
  • Anita Givens, Deputy Associate Commissioner for Standards and Alignment, Texas Education Agency
  • Bernice Stafford, Consultant, Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC)
  • Dana Truby, Editor, Instructor and Administr@tor, Scholastic Professional Media

The Heller Reports extends its thanks to everyone who submitted a presentation proposal and to the judges for helping us breathe life into EdNET Foresight.
